Feature-based Development of State Transition Diagrams with Property Preservation

چکیده

In this paper, we consider incremental development of state transition diagrams by adding features, which add new states and transitions. The goal is to capture when properties of a state transition diagram are preserved when adding a feature. We classify several typical cases of such state transition diagram extensions and show when commonly used properties are preserved. In some cases, we add restrictions to the input events. In others, we need to transform properties to account for new failure cases. Properties are specified on the externally visible input and output events. To formalize the properties and to reason about internal state transition diagram extensions we use a computation tree logic with states and events.

Feature Specification and Refinement with State Transition Diagrams

In this paper, we introduce a graphic specification technique, called state transition diagrams (STD), and show the application to the feature interaction problem. Using a stream-based formal semantics, we provide refinement rules for STDs. Refinements define an implementation relation on STD specifications. We view features as particular refinements which add previously unspecified behavior to...

Verhaltensinvariante Transformation von Entwurfsmodellen reaktiver Systeme

Refactoring is a technique for restructuring program code to improve its quality. This work adapts refactoring to the layer of design models of reactive systems by using a formal notion of behavior equivalence. Therefore the modeling language AutoFocus is exemplary used. We define a notion of equivalence of interface behavior under time abstraction. The suitability of time synchronous and time ...

Construction of ground-state preserving sparse lattice models for predictive materials simulations

First-principles based cluster expansion models are the dominant approach in ab initio thermodynamics of crystalline mixtures enabling the prediction of phase diagrams and novel ground states. However, despite recent advances, the construction of accurate models still requires a careful and time-consuming manual parameter tuning process for ground-state preservation, since this property is not ...

Investigation of metamorphic conditions and mineralogical changes at green-schist to amphibolite facies transition zone using phase diagrams and compositions of the mineral: a case study from the Kordestan province metabasites

In this paper, metamorphic conditions (T, P and fluid composition) in greenschist to amphibolite facies transition zone are investigated using textural evidence, compositions of the minerals and phase diagrams. Metabasits from the south of Kordestan province were metamorphosed from sub-greenschist to upper amphibolite facies. Field observations and petrography studies show that there are some r...

Electric-Field-Induced Triplet to Singlet Transition in Size-2 Trigonal Zigzag Graphene Nanoflake

Using Hartree-Fock Su-Sheriffer-Heeger (HF-SSH) model, we have studied the dependence of the energies of the ground (magnetic triplet state) and the first exited (nonmagnetic singlet state) states of the size-2 trigonal zigzag graphene nanoflake (size-2 NF) on the intensity of an external in plane static electric field at zero temperature. We identify a transition from the magnetic triplet stat...
